The PCO-LDP is a competitive, approximately year-long NOAA leadership development program. The program provides an intense training and learning experience for mid-career NOAA employees who have high potential for assuming greater leadership responsibilities in the agency.
Requests for PCO-LDP applicants are made by senior NOAA Line Office representatives once every year. Following the application period, a select group of candidates will participate in a “shadowing” opportunity in the PCO for approximately 2-3 days, including a formal interview. Each NOAA Line Office selects one employee per 12 month period to participant in the PCO-LDP.
